This two-week travel study will expose you to agriculture in Scotland, Ireland, and Northern Ireland. Production differences between these countries and the US will not just be discussed but experienced first hand!

Itinerary Highlights
Visits to farms, processors, distilleries, and equipment manufacturers will be highlights of the trip. In addition to the agricultural experiences, cultural, geographical, and scientific wonders will bookend this memorable trip.
Special Excursions May Include:
- Visit to the Belfast Peace Wall
- Walking tour of Glasgow
- Visit to the Cliffs of Moher
- National Museum of Scotland (Dolly the Sheep)

Academic Details
ANSC 400: International Travel Studies in Animal Agriculture – British Isles (3 CREDITS)
AGEC 313: Special Topics in Agribusiness – British Isles Travel Study (3 CREDITS)
Classes in one or more of the following areas: (a) interdisciplinary approaches to agribusiness issues and (b) specialized topics suitable for in-depth study.

- Local on-site API Resident Director who serves as an emergency contact available 24/7
- Group airport pick-up in Dublin and group airport return in Edinburgh
- API cultural, health, and safety orientation upon arrival in Dublin
- Accommodation in shared hotel rooms for program duration: linens and towels, internet access, and daily breakfast included
- Group welcome meal in Dublin and group farewell meal in Edinburgh
- Day trips, excursions, academic visits, and cultural activities, as listed in the itinerary
- Ground transportation on all API-arranged activities, as necessary
- Local transportation card in Dublin
What's Not Included
- International airfare from the United States
- Any additional meals or activities not specified, listed as “not included” or “on own”
- Medical and life insurance
- Personal expenses (e.g. passport fees, luggage fees, souvenirs, etc.)
Program Pricing

- 15-19 participants: $TBD per person
- 20-25 participants: $TBD per person
Students can apply for the SGA scholarship, and Chancellor’s Scholars are eligible for a one time scholarship to be applied to the trip costs.
Program fees are guaranteed for Summer 2023 regardless of currency conversion fluctuations.
