Intercultural Communication in Madrid
for Concordia University Students
Take your studies to Madrid this May!
In May 2024, Dr. Erica Lamm, Associate Professor of Communication, will take students abroad to Madrid Spain to take a deep dive into Intercultural Communication


Program Summary
This intercultural communication class will include tours, museums, cathedrals, guest lectures, neighborhood exploration all to understand more about the culture we bring to new encounters and the culture we are experiencing. This course is designed to provide students with theoretical and practical understanding of the uniqueness of cultures, the resulting variations in communication styles and preferences, and to provide strategies and skills for successful communication across cultures, specifically Spain. This course is offered on campus every semester – why not venture off campus for this class in May 2024!

Dr. Erica Lamm Bio
Dr. Erica Lamm teaches a wide variety of communication courses, including communication theory, public speaking and business communication. She is a faculty advisor as well as MBA program director and assistant speech coach. She loves to travel and loves her cat Cricket.
