Students will sign up for the IDST 3360 Hemingway in Cuba 3-hour course during Spring II, 2024. This course counts towards core/general requirements for graduation.
As a part of the course, students will travel to Cuba to complete their studies.

Dr. Annie Culver
Learn more
Dr. Culver is an assistant professor of English. Her research focuses on late 20th and 21st Century American literature and film with emphases on women, gender, sexuality, and environmental studies. She teaches courses in rhetoric and composition, world, British, and American literature, and literary theory and criticism.
Housing & Accomodations
During your time in beautiful Havana, you will be staying at the Casa Vera Residencia! These accommodations are Visited and Verifiedâ„¢ by API, ensuring that you will be in a safe and comfortable place for the duration of your stay.
What about meals?
- Two meals a day are included with your stay at the Residencia
- One additional meal will be provided each day
Essentially, all meals are covered for this trip! You need only worry about snacks or any other food items or meals you’d like to purchase while abroad.
