Program Summary
This program educates students about African American culture, history, and politics in the city of Paris, France. You will write papers, hear lectures, view films, and visit several historic sites of relevance to African Americans in Paris. This program will be of interest to anyone interested in learning about Black people’s experiences in Paris.

Being able to delve into literature and soak up knowledge that you’ve craved is a different type of energy, and when you put what you’ve learned together with what you’ve traveled to see — that knowledge and energy becomes so much more personal. 
The UF African Americans in Paris Program was an awesome experience. You do not have to be African American to take part in the Spring Break African Americans in Paris Program. In fact, learning other cultures and experiences is part of what study abroad is all about. Go for it!

I think it was very beneficial to see Paris through the eyes of minority or marginalized communities. Contextualizing what I have studied about social disparities in the classroom allowed me to learn and understand more in a short span of time.

Most financial aid that you would normally receive on campus for the selected term abroad can be applied toward the cost of this study abroad program; however, all financial aid eligibility is determined by The Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships (SFA).
