Program Summary

Students will travel to Edinburgh, Scotland to learn about operations management, production and commercial distribution firsthand in one of the world’s foremost political, cultural and economic hubs. Over the course of this program, students will get the chance to learn from industry professionals in tourism and large-scale consumer goods production, as well as visiting incredible historical and cultural sites throughout Edinburgh and beyond. Students will have the chance to debrief with UALR faculty following each industry visit, maximizing knowledge gain and learning through the lens of a uniquely positioned economy.

  • API health, safety and cultural orientation upon arrival
  • API on-site Resident Director to implement and oversee the program itinerary and serve as an emergency contact available 24/7
  • Every API Resident Director is thoroughly trained in emergency response and receives ongoing training and support. In the event of an emergency, they are ready to enact emergency action plans

  • Students do not need a student visa
  • There will be one group airport pick-up in Edinburgh and one group airport return in Edinburgh
