Itinerary Highlights
Students will visit a variety of local or private clinics, hospitals, and other facilities to learn about Global Health in different contexts.
Special Excursions May Include:
- Visit to Castle of São Jorge and Alfama walking tour
- Pastéis de Belém tasting and Belém walking tour
- Visits to some of Lisbon’s specialized centers and research facilities

- API on-site local API Resident Director
- Group airport pick-up and return in Lisbon
- API cultural, health, and safety orientation upon arrival in Lisbon
- Housing: shared hotel rooms for program duration – includes linen and towels, internet access, and daily breakfast
- Group welcome meal and farewell meal
- Day trips and cultural activities
- Local transportation card
Not Included
- Student and faculty international airfare from the United States (Group airfare will be booked through the office. Students are responsible for final airfare balance.)
- Additional meals outside included group meals and some meals on excursions
- Medical and life insurance
- Personal expenses (e.g. passport fees, luggage fees, souvenirs, cell phone services, etc.)

Who is API?
