Types of Internships
Students can view our internship postings and filter for internships during a particular term, within a particular academic area of study or career interest area. (See commonly requested internships on this page.)
We know that internships are not one-size fits all, so we work with companies of all sizes to offer paid and unpaid open positions that are individual, research, project-oriented, and team based.

TEACHING OPPORTUNITY: “SHARE YOUR LANGUAGE”
API has collaborated with a government initiative, Share Your Language, to advance opportunities for youth in public schools through promoting bilingualism. By participating in this month-long program during your academic semester in Buenos Aires, you can also be a part of making a positive impact on the community.
Students will gain practical experience in the field of education by combining theoretical teaching methods, class observation, and a chance to act as a lead teacher in two language classes.
A FRENCH EXPERIENCE: GRENOBLE TEACHING INTERNSHIP
Students at any level of French language ability are able to participate in the teaching internship for an additional 3 credits. Spaces are limited and are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. Students may do this on a volunteer basis, not for academic credit, or they may work with a teacher at the CUEF to get academic credit for the internship. Students who wish to receive credit will need to do additional assignments along with the teaching hours, and they will pay an additional fee of $450.
COMMUNITY SERVICE/INTERN/VOLUNTEER OPTIONS
Students interested in hands-on experience with “mendocinos” as the local inhabitants of Mendoza are called, are welcome to volunteer at local NGOs committed to the protection of wildlife, the environment, and at-risk children. Students who wish to gain professional experience while earning academic credit are recommended to select the internship course offered by the Universidad de Congreso.

Academic Programs International (API) was founded in 1997 and is dedicated to providing high-quality, affordable experiential learning programs. Their extensive pre-departure preparation, coupled with strong support services on-site, facilitates academic, cultural and linguistic learning.
