Invest in Your Future through Study Abroad
PCC Education Abroad and API encourage students to look at all of their options to cover the costs of studying abroad: financial aid, scholarships, savings, and creative funding sources. PCC advisors work closely with students to help with this process, and are especially knowledgeable about competitive study abroad scholarships.
Financial Aid
We want your program to be the source of enriching, exciting experiences, not one that stresses you out with worries about debt.
Federal and state financial aid can be applied towards any PCC Education Abroad program. Because each student’s financial aid situation is unique, we recommend that you contact the Financial Aid Office as your first step, to find out what is available.

The Gilman Scholarship
The U.S. Department of State’s Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program enables students of limited financial means to study or intern abroad.
To be eligible for the Gilman Program, applicants must be receiving a Federal Pell Grant during the time of application or provide proof that they will be receiving a Pell Grant during the term of their study abroad program or internship. Students must participate in a program abroad for 2 weeks – 1 year.

About API
Academic Programs International (API) was founded in 1997 and is dedicated to providing high-quality, affordable experiential learning programs. Their extensive pre-departure preparation, coupled with strong support services on-site, facilitates academic, cultural and linguistic learning. Within the supportive environment of the API programs, API participants are encouraged to explore their host communities and become increasingly independent and confident in their own abilities. They strive to make international educational experiences accessible to as many participants as possible, and, as such, works to provide multiple program components at a low program cost.
