Program Summary

Take a deep dive into understanding and experiencing how humans perceive the world around us. Discover how you are always actively creating your own reality as we explore Lisbon, the capital city of Portugal. Practice seeing a new culture through a new lens to truly understand and appreciate the unique complexities of Portuguese people, history, and culture.

What’s Included

Itinerary Highlights
  • A walking tour of Lisbon, the capital city of Portugal
  • The Jardim Botânico de Lisboa and the historic street market Mercado Praça da Figueira
  • A Portuguese cooking class and a Pastéis de Belém tasting
  • The National Tile Museum and participate in a hands-on tile workshop
  • The Fundação Ricardo do Espírito Santo Museum (FRESS) and participate in a hands-on furniture workshop
  • The Calouste Gulbenkian Museum of Art, Architecture, and Technology
  • A Belém Walking Tour of the Tower and Pastéis de Belém tasting, as well as a visit to the Fundação Ricardo do Espírito Santo Museum (FRESS), including participation in a hands-on furniture workshop.
  • Attend guest lectures on contemporary topics in psychology at the ISCTE University Institute of Lisbon, and engage with faculty and experts working in laboratories on innovative research in psychology
