Application Process

Learn more

First, apply directly through this University of Arkansas HogsAbroad portal.

After you submit your application materials, your application will be reviewed by the Honors College Futures Hub. If approved, you will begin working with API on your internship placement (more below) and the rest of the on-site logistics.

Students must be in good academic and disciplinary standing.

Following application submission and acceptance, a Career Coach will assist students in tailoring their resume and statement of purpose to the positions, and the student will rank the selected job descriptions. Students will be entered into an internship preparatory course to learn more about working globally.

If an internship aligned with their academic discipline is not posted on the website, students can opt to customize their internship. They will work with a career coach to define their goals for the internship, and to highlight skills that align with these goals. Students will then be matched with an employer, and an interview will be arranged for the student and employer to agree upon job responsibilities.
