Application Process
- Visit with Kat Stoddard, Walton College study abroad advisor, to identify the right internship location for you
- Apply through the Hogs Abroad portal
- If approved, you will begin working with API on your internship placement and the rest of the on-site logistics
- Confirm enrollment in the International Internship course (BUSI 3200V) to earn academic credit for your internship

Details
Students must be in good academic and disciplinary standing.
Following approval from University of Arkansas and Walton School of Business, students will select their internship and meet with a Career Coach to tailor their resume and statement of purpose to the positions. Students will be entered into API’s Career Hub to learn more about working globally.

Latin America
We are excited to partner with Academic Programs International (API) to offer a variety of internship positions in Costa Rica and in Panama!
There are multiple positions are available at Walmart Mexico Y Centroamerica in Costa Rica, and one graduate level internship in L’Oréal’s Central American office in Panama.

Europe
Walton students can also intern in several cities in Europe with our partner API.
Remember that students will apply first through Hogs Abroad. Once approved, they will select their internships and confirm their placement through API.

Academic Programs International (API) was founded in 1997 and is dedicated to providing high-quality, affordable experiential learning programs. Their extensive pre-departure preparation, coupled with strong support services on-site, facilitates academic, cultural and linguistic learning. Within the supportive environment of the API programs, API participants are encouraged to explore their host communities and become increasingly independent and confident in their own abilities. They strive to make international educational experiences accessible to as many participants as possible, and, as such, works to provide multiple program components at a low program cost.
