Application Process
- Visit with your advisor to identify the right internship location for you
- Apply to take International Internship course (BUSI 320V) to earn academic credit for your internship
- Apply through the Hogs Abroad portal
- If approved, you will begin working with API on your internship placement and the rest of the on-site logistics

Details
Students must be in good academic and disciplinary standing.
Following approval from University of Arkansas and Walton School of Business, students will select their internship and meet with a Career Coach to tailor their resume and statement of purpose to the positions. Students will be entered into API’s Career Hub to learn more about working globally.

We are excited to partner with both Walmart and Academic Programs International (API) to offer 20 spots in an 8-week internship abroad in Costa Rica!

European Internships with API
Walton students can intern in Dublin, London, and Rome
Click on the city name to view internship options through Walton’s in country partner, API. Students will apply through Hogs Abroad, once approved, they will select their internships and confirm their placement through API.

About API
Academic Programs International (API) was founded in 1997 and is dedicated to providing high-quality, affordable experiential learning programs. Their extensive pre-departure preparation, coupled with strong support services on-site, facilitates academic, cultural and linguistic learning. Within the supportive environment of the API programs, API participants are encouraged to explore their host communities and become increasingly independent and confident in their own abilities. They strive to make international educational experiences accessible to as many participants as possible, and, as such, works to provide multiple program components at a low program cost.
